Wern Tree Services is a family run business based in West Wales. We offer skilful, respectful and affordable services for a wide range of tree work and ground maintenance. With our knowledge and expertise combined, we ensure that all aspects of work are carried out carefully and professionally. We are reliable and ensure your tress are cared for and maintained with minimal disruption to you, your trees and their surroundings. We follow the Health and Safety regulations and use the latest Personal Protective Equipment and techniques to ensure every job is delivered safely, efficiently and at the highest standard.
We assess each job carefully before deciding on the best course of action. We will discuss any problems or concerns you may have and provide a free estimate with our terms and conditions so you know exactly what we’re going to do before carrying out any work.
Health & Safety
•All of our staff are fully trained and insured - We work to BS3998 standards.
•Personal Protective Equipment is worn when necessary, including safety helmet, eye protection, hearing protection, appropriate gloves, chainsaw trousers and protective boots under the Personal Protective Equipment at Work Regulations 1992.
•A risk assessment is carried out before commencing any hands on work.
•We ensure that all hazards are identified and managed.
•Each member of staff is empowered to raise concerns or issues to the manager who will assess the risk and implement procedures as required.
•We have regular LOLER inspections on all necessary equipment (Lifting Operations and Lifting Regulations1998).
•All climbers are trained in aerial rescue and there is at least one team member on the ground who can perform aerial rescue if needed.
•All equipment is regularly inspected and maintained to a high standard.
Caring for the Environment
•We take pride in caring for our environment by complying with applicable environmental laws and regulations and work in an environmentally responsible manner.
•We are committed to working in the most sustainable way possible by recycling our green waste and encourage replanting of Trees.
•Many of the animals we encounter such as nesting birds, bats, badgers etc are protected by the Wildlife & Countryside Act 1981 and we take every precaution to avoid damage to their habitats. A Wildlife assessment will be completed if needed
•We encourage our customers to install bird boxes and create habitat stacks where appropriate. We can do this whilst working on the job, free of charge.
